Join Char Saunders of Southern Grace Mercantile and Wendy of Mr. Vaughn’s Paint Emporium for a once-in-a-lifetime crafting retreat in a private Tuscan villa.

No crafting experience is necessary. All skill levels are welcome!

Our Crafting in Tuscany Retreat will be more than a creative getaway. It will be a chance to slow down, experience the beauty of Italy, enjoy meaningful time with new and longtime friends, and return home with beautiful handmade projects and wonderful memories.

Your eight-day, seven-night retreat will include comfortable shared accommodations in a private villa, delicious meals, curated craft projects, experiences with local artisans, and time to explore the Tuscan countryside.

Retreat Highlights

8 Days and 7 Nights in a Private Tuscan Villa

Relax and recharge in a beautiful private villa surrounded by the peaceful scenery of Tuscany.

Accommodations will be shared, creating a warm and welcoming retreat atmosphere.

Delicious Meals

Meals served at the villa will be included and may feature:

• A hearty European-style breakfast
• Lunch
• Chef-prepared dinners
• Snacks and nonalcoholic beverages

You will have the opportunity to enjoy wonderful food, conversation, and the relaxed pace of life in Tuscany.

Curated Craft Projects

Guests will complete a minimum of six thoughtfully designed projects created and taught by:

• Southern Grace Mercantile
• Mr. Vaughn’s Paint Emporium

Projects will be designed for a variety of experience levels, and step-by-step instruction will be provided.

Local Artisan Experiences

We also plan to include a minimum of two additional creative experiences taught by local Italian artisans.

These special projects will give you the opportunity to learn about traditional craftsmanship and create something inspired by the culture and beauty of the region.

Time to Explore

Our itinerary will include time to enjoy Tuscany beyond the villa.

Optional excursions and additional experiences are still being developed and may include visits to charming villages, markets, wineries, historic sites, artisan studios, and other beautiful destinations.

$3,800 per person

Pricing is based on shared accommodations.

A payment plan will be available when registration opens.

Final payment dates, deposit information, cancellation policies, room arrangements, and complete registration details will be announced before booking begins.

What Is Included

Your retreat package is expected to include:

• Eight days and seven nights in a private Tuscan villa

• Most project supplies and materials

What Is Not Included

The following are not included in the retreat price:

• Airfare to and from Italy
• Passport expenses
• Travel insurance
• Transportation or activities outside the official retreat itinerary unless specifically listed
• Optional excursions
• Personal purchases
• Meals away from the villa unless specifically included
• Alcoholic beverages

Guests will be responsible for arranging their own airfare. Additional travel guidance, airport recommendations, and arrival instructions will be shared with registered attendees.

Char is the owner of Southern Grace Mercantile and Craft Retreats with SGM. She has been teaching creative classes, hosting crafting retreats, and helping women discover their creativity for many years.

Her retreats are designed around beautiful projects, meaningful friendships, laughter, encouragement, and unforgettable experiences.

Wendy

Wendy of Mr. Vaughn’s Paint Emporium brings her own creative style, knowledge, and love of teaching to the retreat.

Together, Char and Wendy are creating an experience that blends crafting, culture, friendship, food, and the beauty of Tuscany.
